Gogri explained that the development agreement gives the franchise partners authority to open restaurants over a regional boundary in the North Bay. The space was previously occupied by Heirloom Grill and a Chili’s before that. This past November, he opened the restaurant at the Northgate III property across from Macy’s, after several months of delay. Gogri opened his first Black Bear Diner in Danville in November 2015. “But if the right deal falls into place, we own the rights to develop in the entire county.” “My dream would be to open the next restaurant in Novato,” Gogri said.
